So who actually likes the idea of Keiran as a new paragon hero?

Would you be disappointed or pleased with this outcome?

I dont want to bring both Gwen and Keiran in my party and have them run off into the bushes together giggling, leaving me alone to face the monsters.

They are on their honeymoon after all.

Melee update on the horizon....hmmm....

Undead Prince Rurik?

Very disappointed. I already have two paragon heroes that rarely ever see the light of day. What on earth would I do with three?

Really? I use my paragon heros all the time. Stand your Ground, Go for the Eyes, and Fall Back or Incoming are great skills.

Good, so now you can have each hero carry one and only one of your Paragons has to carry a second skill!

No but in all seriousness, unless there's a big Paragon buff that makes Motivation worthwhile and Spear Mastery a good hybrid damage dealer, we really don't need another.

I like Keiran more than Morghan and Hayda so even if I only use one it will be him. I almost certainly won't use one (especially when I plan to play HM content for increased rewards not because it's more fun) until I get 7 heroes. After 7 heroes are allowed he will probably be a part of my final party build (along with Gwen).

Part of the problem with heroes is you can only bring three, so something which would probably be very beneficial to the entire party as one of the 8 slots would be left out if it's not the optimum and efficient addition to take up one of the three slots.

I think after the 7 hero update is implemented we will see a lot more varied and balanced party builds and heroes being used, including Keiran the paragon.

That said, I still want a class rebalance for the paragon.

I must be one of those people who sits and looks at their heroes and thinks, "If only I had more slots...", when it comes to some of them. For me, that includes Paragons. When I'm playing NF, I quite often bring Sogolon with me. I like Paras because they're semi-ranged and therefore don't leeroy in (*cough*KOSS*cough*) but do some pretty nice physical damage while yelling things to buff my party. Paras are going to be something I'll personally be bringing along with me MUCH more often once we have the 7 hero update.

I do agree with the whole Keiran and Gwen being all.. well. I'm not even sure if Gwen's the type to drag Keiran behind a res shrine while we're getting hacked to pieces...

That's fair. I too am planning on implementing a primary Paragon once 7 heroes are in but can't squeeze it in now.

I realize we're not really arguing, but I am going to stick with the statement that a third Paragon isn't necessary without a major rebalance. I understand the cosmetic aspect, and that's fine, but given the option, I'd take Rit #3 any day considering the current state of the game. Currently, if I had a 7 hero party with 3 Rits available, I could role some character /P for the 3-4 great Command skills and not feel like I'm missing anything without a primary Para.

Quoting myself here lol, but after reading a few peoples answers i personally would be dissapointed with Keiran as a paragon hero. I would not feel like i need 3 paragon heros in my party.

However if we could have Kerian as a Paragon with some PvE skills like he uses in HotN i.e.... "Find Their Weakness!" (Thackeray) and "There's Nothing to Fear!" (Thackeray) that for me would be cool and would accept that nicely .

Now i know people are gonna say well thats a massive buff to the party. But humans can use PvE skills and cons etc, why not Thackeray as a daddy hero.
Heros are not used in PvP and nor are PvE Skills so would not effect the PvP scene.

With this kind of hero people would actually use him alot (Assuming that this is what is to come) instead of another pointless Para in my books.

From Anet's perspective we're probably going to get all heroes filled out to 3 anyway, so I don't think they are too concerned about which order it happens in. Heroes are strongly hinted at as Winds of Change rewards, we've already seen Miku and it's not a stretch to imagine there might be a ritualist reward as well.

If the WoC hero is Miku I hope the melee hero update comes with a serious improvement on assassin hero ai with chained attacks. It would seem weird to know there is a problem with melee heroes and not fix assassin hero ai but then add a new assassin hero to hold weapons.

Assassin Heroes are okay with chains, as long as you keep it a simple lead -> offhand -> dual chain with dagger attacks that have roughly the same recharge. It's when you start trying to get fancy with multiples in each attack tier or spells that count as an attack type that the problems start cropping up. (I may be wrong, but that's the way it looked to me the last time I used an Assassin Hero instead of Melonni or Koss/Goren [those two only when absolutely required for the quest/mission], something I very rarely do)

whenever i need to use a ranger/derv/sin/war i give them a shield and spear or sometimes the rangers a bow just because of expertise. a crit spear hero can be a dangerous addition im a warrior so i dont need more melee for the most part. if i have to use a ranger hero i give them a bow for barrage or staff for spirit spam. dervs do ok with spears but i usually give them a scythe because scythe mechanics are hard to f up and rupting blows work great with aoe effects or i give em a staff they make good bombers in some areas. but i only use those heroes when i have to otherwise i have all caster h/h.

plz don't give us another useless assassin hero, I don't want Miku. Sin heroes have no future, unless they receive a MAJOR rework on AI.

why would keiran be a para hero since he's a ranger on his missions? i don't get it

What I really want to see is a new mesmer/ritualist hero. We already have 3 necros, wars, dervs, monks, rangers.

2 paragons, 2 sins, 2 ritualists, 2 mesmers. One of these will get another friend. I hope its a rit, if not, a mesmer. otherwise I'd rather have an AI update over new para/sin hero
